Donna’s orthodontic experience
Donna was born and raised in Auckland and is first generation Chinese Kiwi. She studied dentistry at the University of Otago and has worked in private dental and hospital practice in Auckland, London and Melbourne. She completed her three years post-graduate training in Specialist Orthodontics from the University of Melbourne. Donna has worked in specialist practice in London after the completion of her training for three years and has been in specialist practice in Auckland since 2010.
Donna is a member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists, New Zealand Dental Association, Auckland Dental Association, World Federation of Orthodontists and has completed examinations leading to Specialist Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
She is also part of the group of orthodontists , providing free specialist orthodontic treatment for to the Wish for a Smile Trust , the charitable arm of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists, who provide orthodontic care for deserving young New Zealanders whose families would otherwise be unable to afford orthodontic care.
Donna loves making a positive meaningful difference through transforming smiles of people of all ages and provides the highest quality care to her patients using the latest technology available.
When Donna is not creating beautiful smiles, she is busy mother of two young girls Serena and Rebecca and is married to Peter. Outside of orthodontics, her interests include running, cooking, baking as she is a major foodie and loves travelling and spending time with family and friends. She has completed both the Auckland and Berlin Marathons.
Donna is fortunate enough to have an incredible team by her side. This clinical and administrative team is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable in their roles, but they are also incredibly supportive and dedicated to their work. They go above and beyond to ensure that Donna has everything she needs to provide the best care possible to her patients!
Donna prides herself on being very relatable to people of all ages, ethnicities and diversities and is devoted to treating all her patients in a kind, caring, and compassionate way. Donna is committed to technological excellence and aesthetic advancements in the specialty of orthodontics, and is experienced in Suresmile braces technology, Invisalign, Clear Aligner treatment, and multi-disciplinary orthodontic treatment needs.
